A Fun Virtual Writing Class!

Registration for our summer virtual creative writing class Craft and Create: Writing in Community is open, and there are still some spots left! I’m co-teaching with my friend Christina Scheuer, who is an incredible book coach.

The class is great if you have an idea for a writing project but don’t know how to get started, if you want to get into/get back into writing, or if you just want to generate some writing in community with other writers. It’s only 4 sessions for 2 hours on Tuesday nights, and it will work for you whether you’re working on fiction, non-fiction, or anything in-between. It’s also fine if you don’t know yet what you want to work on!

When I first started writing again at the start of 2017, I had no idea what I was doing despite having completed a graduate Creative Writing program many years ago. Since then, I’ve gotten mentorships through We Need Diverse Books and the Highlights Foundation, taken classes and workshops, worked with editors to write and publish books, and learned from my mistakes. All of that means I’ve learned a LOT, and much of that is from working with Christina Scheuer and benefiting from her perspective as a book coach. We would love to share what we’ve learned about craft and publishing in this class!
